I’ve been unwell this weekend, so I ended up in my PJs reading my KU download of LOVE FAST by LOUISE BAY on my old laptop.
A gentle love story with added spice was just what I needed.
Both love interests Byron and Rosey are, in some ways, runaways.
Rosey is the classic runaway bride escaping her narrow, constricted life, ducking out of a safe marriage to an older man.
Byron is struggling with being himself back in the town he fled at 18.
Star Falls sound so picturesque and I loved that the small town setting adds a sprinkling of characters to add more interest to the story. For Byron, the fact that the locals know too much about his early life and see him as his father’s son is something to avoid. For Rosey, that interest is reassuring when she finds herself in another state for the first time.
Byron’s strong physical attraction to Rosey knocks his attention from the business project that involves his entire fortune.
The fact that Rosey knows nothing of his past or present helps Byron relax with the pretty girl next door.
I loved the love story, which had the added bonus of the local characters and businesses. A visit from his friends from New York is great for Louise Bay fans. I highly recommend you check out all her books.
